QIRS 2023 Year End Financial Statements:

Please be advised that these financial documents are a consolidated picture of the Quadra Island Recreation Society (QIRS), including its sub committees, which operate under the umbrella of the QIRS. The QIRS volunteer committee groups are required to be included in the year-end consolidated financials, but it is important to note that these funds are held by the committees and are used exclusively by each committee for their own specific needs. It may appear as though the QIRS has excess funds but these committee funds are never interchanged with the QIRS and do not make up any of the QIRS's operating funds. This model allows for broad reaching community assets in terms of the activities that can be offered to the community at extremely low costs because of the fact that these committees are made of up committed volunteer groups who take the initiative to fundraise for, and manage their own funds under the umbrella of the QIRS.
